A few clear expectations for everyone using Slipstream Rides.

Version · Operator: Jeffery Powell

Who can participate

You must be at least 18 years old to use Slipstream as a rider or driver. Confirm your age and accept these terms in the app before participating. Keep your account and profile information accurate, protect your sign-in links and any assigned password, and use your own account.

There is no separate manual driver-approval step. App access and the age confirmation are not identity, driving-licence, vehicle or insurance verification.

How this release works

Slipstream helps people connect along shared routes at supported pickup and drop-off nodes in Canada. Participation is voluntary, and a match or available seat is not guaranteed. This release is free and does not support fares, driver payouts or paid rides through Slipstream.

Drivers are responsible for holding a valid licence, using a roadworthy vehicle with the required insurance, and following the rules that apply to their journey. Riders and drivers must choose safe, lawful places to stop, use seatbelts and respect the vehicle’s seat limit. These terms do not establish that any particular journey is permitted or insured.

Do not operate the app while driving. Stop safely before interacting with it. Check the person, vehicle and pickup details before boarding; decline or end a ride safely if something is wrong. Location and arrival estimates can be inaccurate.

Treat people with respect

  • No harassment, hate, discrimination, threats, violence, sexual exploitation or sexually explicit content.
  • No scams, impersonation, spam, illegal activity, dangerous conduct or misuse of location information.
  • Only upload photos and text you have permission to share. Do not post another person’s private information or share sign-in links, passwords or identity documents.
  • Use ride chat to coordinate the journey. Keep pickup details accurate and cancel promptly if your plans change.

Profile text and messages are checked for prohibited content. New profile and vehicle photos are checked before publication. Automated checks can miss content or reject something by mistake; contact support if a decision needs review.

Report a problem or block someone

In a matched ride’s chat, choose Safety to report a person or content, or to block them. Include the relevant ride and enough detail for us to investigate. Reports are reviewed by the operator; they are not published to other participants by the app.

Blocking prevents new messages and future matches between the two accounts. It does not cancel an accepted or ongoing ride. Finish or cancel that ride safely. Manage blocked people under Profile → Account & safety.

We may remove prohibited content or restrict an account for breaking these rules or misusing the service. Contact with a report, an account concern or a request to review a decision.

For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Slipstream support is not an emergency service or a live ride-dispatch line.

Your information and account

The privacy policy explains how account, location, ride, message and safety information is handled. You can delete your account in the app after ending an active ride, or contact us if you cannot access the app.

Changes and contact

We will update the version date when these terms change. Material participation changes may require you to accept updated terms in the app. Questions about these terms or using Slipstream can be sent to Jeffery Powell at .
