Delete your account

You can request permanent deletion in the app. If you cannot sign in, Jeff can help by email.

Delete in Slipstream

  1. Finish or cancel your active ride.An accepted or ongoing ride must end before deletion so the other participant is not left with an unusable trip. Stop any ride offer that you no longer need.
  2. Open Profile → Account & safety.Choose Delete account and read what will be removed. If asked, sign in again to confirm that the request is yours.
  3. Confirm “Permanently delete my account.”Once accepted, you are signed out and account access ends. Deletion continues in the background and retries if a service is temporarily unavailable.

Deletion cannot be undone. Signing up again later creates a new account; it does not restore your deleted profile or messages.

What is removed and what remains

Deletion removes your sign-in identity, account contact and profile details, vehicle details, uploaded photos, in-app feedback, notification registration, block records and the messages you sent.

Completed ride records and the other participant’s messages remain for their history and service integrity. Your account is labelled “Deleted account” and its name, contact and profile details are removed. Ride times, route details and an internal account reference remain.

Private safety reports and safety-action records are retained for up to 90 days after creation; direct account links are removed during deletion. Our application backup retention target is 30 days, with cloud expiry scheduled at 29 days. Expired temporary backups on an offline device are removed when that device next wakes or signs in. Firebase Authentication has a separate retention period: after we request deletion of the associated Firebase user, its other authentication information is removed from Firebase’s live and backup systems within 180 days. Firebase keeps logged IP addresses for a few weeks. See Firebase’s retention policy. Operational logs, support emails and legally required records are handled separately, as described in the privacy policy.

Deletion runs across several services. It is not an immediate removal of every copy. Public profile or vehicle photos saved by other people, or temporarily cached outside our storage, cannot be recalled. Contact us if you need help with a pending request or a particular record.

Cannot use the app?

Send a request from the email associated with your Slipstream account when possible. If you cannot access that inbox, tell us so we can verify ownership another way. You do not need to give a reason for deletion.

Email a deletion request
